Huron Varsity Chiefs defeated Jefferson Varsity Bears 16-1 on Monday at Jefferson High School thanks in part to 11 runs in the second inning.
Huron Varsity Chiefs got on the board in the top of the second inning after Makynze O’Dell grounded out, scoring one run, Shore laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run, Kuzara singled, scoring two runs, a passed ball scored one run, an error scored two runs, Makynze O’Dell singled, scoring two runs, Shoresingled, scoring one run, and Pender singled, scoring one run.
An error extended the Huron Varsity Chiefs lead to 12-0 in the top of the third inning.
