It came down to the wire on Wednesday, as Huron Varsity Chiefs grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 6-5, over St. Mary Catholic Central. The game was tied at five in the bottom of the seventh when Russo singled, scoring one run.
Kuzara collected three hits in four at bats in the win. Kuzara doubled in the first inning, singled in the fifth inning, and singled in the seventh inning.
St. Mary Catholic Central opened the scoring in the third after Piepsney doubled, scoring one run.
Huron Varsity Chiefs tied the game in the bottom of the fourth thanks to a fielder's choice by Martindale, and a sacrifice bunt by Shore.
