The Huron Freshman Volleyball team closed out their season on a high note with a 3-0 sweep over Southgate Anderson. Despite playing with a different lineup—and even trying a “fun” lineup where players took on new positions—the girls showed just how much they’ve grown as a team. Their communication, energy, and teamwork were outstanding, making this an enjoyable victory.

Every player contributed to the win, reflecting the team’s depth and chemistry. 

Maci Krzciuk tallied 1 kill and 8 digs, while 

Brooklyn Shastal added 1 kill, 1 dig, and 5 assists, keeping the offense moving smoothly. 

Lacey Clelland had a strong all-around game with 3 aces, 1 block, and 4 assists. 

Rylie Adkins added 3 aces, 1 kill, and 5 digs.

Jaeda Prince once again led with power—earning 4 aces, 8 kills, and 4 digs. 

Isabelle Bradford chipped in 3 aces, 4 digs, and 1 assist.

Evanne Murray contributed 2 aces, 4 kills, and 5 digs. 

Tinsley Barta had an impressive defensive night with 6 aces and 13 digs

Abbie Schulz added 3 digs

Vivian Laidler, the team’s libero, dominated the back row with 19 digs and 1 assist.

Ellia Webb rounded out the effort with 1 kill and 4 digs.

This match perfectly showcased the team’s progress, adaptability, and spirit. It was a fun, confident finish to the season—one that highlighted how far the Huron Freshman team has come together. This is their last week with Friday being their last tournament, The News Herald Invitational. Come out and support your freshman.
