The Huron Freshman Volleyball team put together one of their strongest performances of the season in their matchup against Crestwood, coming away with an overall win. From the very start, the girls showed confidence and determination, using strong serves and aggressive net play to set the tone. Even when Crestwood pushed back, Huron stayed composed and responded with smart plays and great hustle on defense.

The team’s chemistry was on full display, as every player contributed—whether it was setting up key attacks, keeping rallies alive with digs, or finishing points with well-placed hits. Their communication and energy never dropped, and the momentum continued to build as the match went on. By the final set, Huron had full control, closing things out with confidence and securing a well-earned victory.

This win over Crestwood not only showed how far the team has come since the beginning of the season, but also highlighted their growth in consistency, teamwork, and resilience. It was a strong all-around effort that proved the girls are capable of competing at a high level and rising to the occasion in big games. The first set Huron won the first set 25-23, second set Crestwood took 26-24, and the girls really gave it their all in the last set with a win of 26-24.

Some outstanding players were our Libero Vivian Laidler #21 with a game best of 14 digs and 2 kills, Tinsley Barta #6 with 6 aces, Brooklyn Shastal #19 with 1 kill and 4 assists, and Lacey Clelland #4 with 3 aces.
